It is a Western action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games.

Main events are set in a fictionalized version of the Western United States at the end of a century (1899), the story centers on outlaw Arthur Morgan, a member of the Van der Linde gang dealing with the decline of the Wild West.

Red Dead Redemtion 2 is a prequel to the events of the Red Dead Redemption.

As of March 2019, the game has shipped over 25 million copies.
