Carla Gugino (August 29, 1971) is an American actress of italian decent, born in Sarasota, Florida.

She is best known for her roles as Sally Jupiter/Silk Spectre in Watchmen, Dr. Vera Gorski in Sucker Punch, and others. Her recent successful project is the Netflix’s original horror show The Haunting of Hill House.

Carla started her career as a teenage fashion model. Later she took acting classes per the suggestion of her aunt, former Let’s Make a Deal spokesmodel Carol Merrill.
