Candice Rene King, née Accola, (May 13, 1987) is an American actress, singer, and songwriter, born in Houston, Texas.

She is best known for her role on The CW supernatural series The Vampire Diaries and recurring role on the spin-off series The Originals.

In 2006, Accola released her debut album, It’s Always the Innocent Ones, independently in the United States. She co-wrote 12 of the 14 tracks on the record.

In 2014 Candice Accola married guitarist, backing vocalist, songwriter, and co-founder of rock band The Fray Joe King.
