Anahí Giovanna Puente Portilla de Velasco (née Anahí Giovanna Puente Portilla), better known as Anahí (May 14, 1983), is a Mexican singer, songwriter, actress, and dancer, born in Mexico City.
She started her career at the age of two when she was cast on a TV production Chiquilladas. Later she evolved her success with lots of roles in such TV novelas as Alondra, Mujeres engañadas, Primer amor, a mil por hora, Clase 406, Rebelde, RBD: La familia, Dos hogares and others.
Up to date Anahi has released 6 studio albums and starred in 30+ telenovelas and TV series, along with 10 movie appearences. She is widely popular in Mexico and was proclaimed the Queen of Twitter by Mexican press, as she was the first Mexican person to reach a 1M followers.
In 2015 she married Manuel Velasco Coello, the Governor of Chiapas. Together they are raising 1 child.
