She started her career appearing in several commercials, which led to the Nickelodeon series All That and The Amanda Show. Later she starred in the sitcom What I Like About You on The WB, and done several movies, including What a Girl Wants, She’s the Man, Hairspray, Sydney White, and Easy A.

Lately her career is on a hiatus as she is battling both personal and legal issues.
