Adriana Barraza (March 5, 1956) is a Mexican actress, acting teacher, and director, born in Toluca, Estado de Mexico.
She played in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s Amores perros, which was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film. She continued her collaboration with Iñárritu in Babel, for which she received a nomination for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress.
Her latest roles include supporting roles in different telenovelas, recurring role on FX’s horror series The Strain. She also has a role in the latest film in Rambo franchise (Rambo V: Last Blood).
Adriana Barraza operates her own acting school located in Miami, Florida titled Adriana Barraza’s Black Box.
