Kate Rooney Mara (February 27, 1983) is an American actress and fashion model.
She is quite known for her TV series appearences – Kate played a reporter in the Netflix political drama series House of Cards (Emmy nominated for Outstanding Guest Actress in Drama series), computer analyst in the Fox hit series 24 and vengeful mistress in one of the seasons of the FX horror series American Horror Story.
Her movie crediits are valid as well. Kate appeared in Brokeback Mountain, We Are Marshall, Shooter, Transsiberian, Stone of Destiny, The Open Road, The Martian, Fantastic Four, etc.
Mara is one of the faces of the Humane Society of the United States and a huge football fan. Her movie contracts state that she can attend Super Bowls if either Pittsburg Steelers or NY Giants reaches the final stage.
Kate Mare is married to an actor Jamie Bell. Couple met on a set of Fantastic Four, got engaged and married in 2017. They are expecting their first child together later in 2019.
